The Zoo Story
by Edward Albee
I don’t really like the story, because the way the author write the script is confusing. Actually the story is interesting because it has an unexpected ending. There are so many words that I don’t understand, but it makes me a bit curious to find out the meaning. Honestly I don’t really like the genre, that’s why I get bored easily.
The story begin in a park with Jerry who tries to make a
conversation with Peter who is reading a book. Jerry tells Peter that he has been
go to the zoo, but Peter didn’t get it, he confuses because Jerry starts
talking randomly. Peter and Jerry have a different life. Peter has a perfect
life, he has a wife and 2 daughters, while Jerry hasn’t. Jerry tries to take
over the bench like he wants what Peter’s have. When Jerry tries to take
over the bench, Peter takes a knife that Jerry puts near his leg so Jerry
can not take over the bench. This is where the climax begin. After a long debate, Jerry grabs Peter's hand and stab himself on the knife. Jerry is not mad at all, but he feels grateful.
Though the title is The Zoo, but it’s not about zoo at all. The story has so much meaning depend on the readers
